Speaker B:Which time is it?
Speaker B:Who is it?
Speaker A:I don't know, I.
Speaker A:Situation Green Foghorn expert Sorry honey, I have to take this.
Speaker A:Pier 31 is a scattered industrial spread with massive concrete pylons supporting an equipment strewn platform that juts out into the dirty waters of the East River.
Speaker A:There is little moonlight this evening, but what illumination there is casts long and complicated shadows across the scene.
Speaker A:Now, you're all here because this work site and this large warehouse that you're not coming up apart, well, they're part of an apparent organized effort to obfuscate the movement of vast sums of monies, according to the work Prentiss and Ryan recently completed together.
Speaker A:Perhaps, and most importantly, it holds a clue to place you a step ahead of your elusive quarry.
Speaker A:That is David Young, a man who appears to command strange abilities and is likely the murderer you have been sent to New York City to stop.
Speaker A:In the distance there is a 40 foot high oblong warehouse perched directly on the waterfront.
Speaker A:Clearly the largest single structure on this pier, it looms above a set of clustered shacks and other industrial buildings that are set apart, leaving the dockyards between the buildings clear of most obstructions and without cover.
Speaker A:There are crates and shipping containers piled up along one side of the warehouse, as if hastily forgotten by the day shift in a race to find the nearest pub.
Speaker A:The side of the warehouse facing your approach as you wind through the darkened and quiet industrial complex is illuminated by two pale halogen lights.
Speaker A:One flickers anemically, threatening to go dark forever, but somehow continues its buzzing vigil for the moment.
Speaker A:Several vehicles are parked here, light glancing off their empty interiors.
Speaker A:A raised concrete loading dock, complete with a lengthy oil stained ramp, lead to a set of enormous corrugated roll top bay doors off to the side.
Speaker A:To your left as you approach is an unmarked windowless metal door with a keypad built into its heavy looking handle.
Speaker A:Now so close to the only lights on this area of the pier, the rest of the warehouse looks ominous, nearly ink black as clouds whip across the sky and cover the already inadequate sliver of moon.
Speaker A:As you deliberate where to park and how to investigate this building, Ryan points out to the group that there is a figure standing off away, barely visible in the waning light from the warehouse's front face.
Speaker A:He appears to be watching the building, peeking around a steel and wood buttressed fence every once in a while, just periodically, and scribbling something on a pad that he's holding.
Speaker A:He seems unkempt and is perhaps wearing a soiled uniform of some sort.
Speaker A:You know, if Ryan hadn't pointed him out, you would not have noticed him on your approach team.
Speaker A:What would you like to do?
Speaker A:Do you want to park in front of the building alongside these other vehicles?
Speaker A:Do we want to park a ways out and walk towards the building on foot?
Speaker A:You tell me how you guys want to continue here.
Speaker C:Well, if there's a Dark Young in there, we don't want it crushing the vehicle, so we should probably not park it in front.
Speaker A:Gotcha.
Speaker A:Gotcha.
Speaker C:I'm always thinking about Dark Young when I make any action so wise.
Speaker A:Does that sound good with the rest of the team?
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker D:Not super far away, though, in case of a getaway situation, but in some dark shadow, a reasonable walk from it.
Speaker D:Seems good to me.
Speaker B:Yeah, definitely.
Speaker B:Somewhere it's not going to be terribly noticed.
Speaker B:We do still have a body in the back.
Speaker E:That's right, we do.
Speaker C:Quick question, though.
Speaker C:How far away from an IHOP?
Speaker A:You're always within 2 minutes from IHOP radius.
Speaker B:Running or driving, though?
Speaker A:Driving for sure.
Speaker A:In New York.
Speaker C:Is there a ferry between the IHOP and us?
Speaker A:You're going to need to check those schedules.
Speaker A:But won't you anymore?
Speaker A:You're right, man.
Speaker A:We've got to really calm down on our anachronistic epithets on the show.
Speaker E:It's water transportation vehicle.
Speaker C:What we do is we learn, we adjust, you know, and thank you for pointing that out.
Speaker A:We get better.
Speaker A:So from what I hear, you're going to park the van in the shadows no more than a block away from the front of the warehouse that I just described.
Speaker A:Is that correct?
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker D:Yes.
Speaker A:You four walk towards the flickering lights again that are illuminating the front of this warehouse, casting long shadows across the asphalt.
Speaker A:As you get closer, you can definitely see that there is a large amount of cargo that's been stacked against one side of the building.
Speaker A:It doesn't quite reach the top of the 40 foot structure, but kind of squint through the inky blackness and you can see it does get you fairly close to some of the superstructure and metal gutters on the side of the building.
Speaker A:Something Paris kind of takes in internally as a potential way to get on the roof and do some recon.
Speaker A:All four of you are now positioned in the relative dimness away from the halo of light spilling forth from the front of the building.
Speaker A:You can see across the way there is a man who has not taken notice of you peeking around a corner, scribbling something down on a pad.
Speaker C:So you said that's cargo up against the building.
Speaker C:Are they cargo containers or some other.
Speaker A:Crates and shipping containers?
Speaker D:I think we should probably do like a perimeter walk.
Speaker D:Seems like a reasonable idea before we go in.
Speaker E:And also go talk to this dude guy scribbling notes.
Speaker D:Yeah, I'm down with that.
Speaker A:All four of you staying close to the darkness, walk across the asphalt towards the man.
Speaker A:He glances up as you approach, but doesn't say anything.
Speaker A:He seems wholly absorbed in his activities.
Speaker A:Your footsteps crunch on the gravel as you continue getting closer to him.
Speaker A:And you hear across the river waters a foghorn reverberate from afar.
Speaker A:The man seems alert.
Speaker A:You see him make a hash mark on his notepad.
Speaker A:He nods grimly as he completes this task.
Speaker A:He again glances up, his eyes flickering over your group as you walk towards him out of the darkness.
Speaker A:Doesn't say anything, just kind of regards you with tired eyes.
Speaker A:The man looks again unkempt.
Speaker A:He's got a poorly coiffed beard and his face is covered with some sort of dirt.
Speaker A:Now that you're so close, you can see he is indeed wearing a uniform.
Speaker A:Looks like he's a city sewage worker, perhaps.
Speaker A:Or at least he is wearing the uniform of one.
Speaker C:You gonna lead Ryan?
Speaker D:Or Ryan will say.
Speaker D:Hey, what are you doing out here, buddy?
Speaker A:Oh, hi there.
Speaker A:Hi there.
Speaker A:He waves.
Speaker A:Just.
Speaker A:Just finishing up some work.
Speaker D:What you working on?
Speaker A:He smiles briefly, kind of winces.
Speaker A:Oh, I.
Speaker A:I'm just here to.
Speaker A:To finish up some.
Speaker A:Some late night tasks.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker A:He smiles again, nods curtly.
Speaker C:Are the tasks at all related to this warehouse?
Speaker A:Um, not re.
Speaker A:Really?
Speaker C:So could you possibly do your tasks a block away?
Speaker A:Oh, I would prefer not to.
Speaker A:Do you need me to.
Speaker A:To.
Speaker A:To leave?
Speaker C:And Prentiss pulls out his wallet and says.
Speaker C:Here's 200 bucks.
Speaker C:Could you find somewhere, anywhere else to be?
Speaker A:No, no thanks.
Speaker A:I need to finish this up tonight.
Speaker A:But appreciate it.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker E:Let's roll Hu mint.
Speaker E:See if we can get some more about this guy's motivation.
Speaker E:Mine sure.
Speaker E:Roll a humet much shittier.
Speaker D:Chris, does any of this.
Speaker D:I don't know if this point of view would be a boon to a hu mint roll, but because Prentiss and I.
Speaker D:Is any of this reminiscent of the hot dog cart guy?
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker C:Is he slanging wieners on the side?
Speaker D:Yeah.
Speaker A:You see, nothing hot dog related about this man.
Speaker A:He is acting demeanor a little strange though.
Speaker E:How much relish is on his shoulder and coat?
Speaker A:Too much or mustard?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:You'll need to get your forensic teaspoons out for that.
Speaker C:To measure to make sure that we're.
Speaker D:Not getting lost in the literal joke.
Speaker D:I am saying because we knew that the Hot dog guy was crazy, but was a little skittish when we first talked to him.
Speaker D:Does this guy remind us of that at all?
Speaker D:Is it a similar kind of energy?
Speaker A:You tell me.
Speaker A:I mean, if you feel like this guy is in that same kind of vein, then.
Speaker A:Then he.
Speaker A:He does.
Speaker D:Okay.
Speaker D:All right.
Speaker E:I failed my human role.
Speaker E:94 out of 14, so looks fine to me.
Speaker A:Seems like he's.
Speaker A:Guy seems like he's real, real busy and you're interrupting his work.
Speaker D:14 human.
Speaker D:You're like, let me roll.
Speaker C:I got this.
Speaker A:I was.
Speaker E:No, I was saying we should.
Speaker E:I was trying to get somebody else to do the role, but no one.
Speaker D:Else I would ro.
Speaker A:Well, roll for.

Speaker A:First of all, no one plays this game.
Speaker A:No one plays my game saying, hey, somebody good at this roll.
Speaker A:You just say, paris is trying to get a feel for this guy, and I'll say, roll your human.

Speaker A:Yeah, Ryan, you did it exactly right.
Speaker D:Ryan's trying to get a feel for this guy.
Speaker A:Sure.
Speaker A:Go ahead and roll.
Speaker D:Fucking fail.

Speaker A:This is obviously a crazy homeless man and he is wasting your time.
Speaker A:And you probably shouldn't have walked up to him because who knows what's going to happen next?
Speaker A:He is probably imbalanced.
Speaker D:All right.
Speaker D:Ryan looks at the group and says, like, maybe we just keep going, guys.
Speaker C:So Prentice, still holding the 200 out, looks at it and puts it back in his wallet.
Speaker C:Huffson says, suit yourself.
Speaker E:Hey, have you.
Speaker E:Sir, have you seen anyone coming or going recently in this building?
Speaker A:Yeah, I've.
Speaker A:I've seen a few people here actually gathering at that warehouse right behind you.
Speaker E:Are they in there right now?
Speaker A:I didn't see them leave.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:They started gathering out in front about an hour ago and well before you got here.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:Yeah, all of them, maybe about a dozen of them.
Speaker A:They looked, uh, maybe Chinese.
Speaker A:There was also a.
Speaker A:A really tall and thin man.
Speaker A:He seemed to be somewhat important.
Speaker A:He was saying something and looked like he was maybe giving orders.
Speaker E:So about a dozen.
Speaker E:Were they.
Speaker E:Were they armed?
Speaker A:I.
Speaker A:I didn't see that.
Speaker A:He stutters a bit.
Speaker C:At this point, Prentice wants to see if he's hiding anything and failed his human roll 17 target or 32 target 17.
Speaker A:He doesn't emote anything to you that would indicate he's trying to hide the Truth, in fact, he seems to be quite open with you.
Speaker D:Ryan's gonna start to walk a bit away from him, hoping the group follows so we can debrief.
Speaker A:Another foghorn suddenly blasts across the waves.
Speaker A:And you watch as this man hastily marks another hash on his pad of paper.
Speaker E:Paris says, I'm going to head back to the van and get my gear.
Speaker C:Okay.
Speaker C:So Prentiss follows.
Speaker D:Ryan will also follow.
Speaker B:Rhysen's going to follow to the edge of the building and kind of keep an eye on them as they walk away.
Speaker B:But she's going to stand in the shadows where she can still see the building but also see them at least as far as possible.
Speaker A:Yeah, they disappear into the darkness because there are no lights in that direction.
Speaker A:Unfortunately, there is no place for you to stand for what you would like as you find out as they disappear.
Speaker D:Ryan's going to say to the other two as we're walking, so we've definitely got people inside there could or could not be armed, but definitely we know that David is in there.
Speaker D:Maybe we see if we can sneak in to this building somehow.
Speaker D:Maybe we do a canvas of the outside first.
Speaker E:Yeah, it seems like a good idea.
Speaker E:I mean, we should assume they are armed and be ready for that.
Speaker E:And then I think scouting the building, finding the best way in is going to be the way to go.
Speaker E:I'm going to check to see did I bring my flashbang grenades that I don't have listed in my equipment.
Speaker A:Then why would you grab them?
Speaker E:Roll a luck.
Speaker E:How's that work?
Speaker E:Did I bring my flashbang grenades?
Speaker E:Chris?
Speaker E:Did I bring all my gear or.
Speaker A:No, you did not bring your flashbang grenades, which you don't have and never have had.
Speaker D:I don't have.
Speaker B:We really need to fix your gear.
Speaker E:Yeah, well, I can't do it now.
Speaker E:I mean, I can do it after this mission, but yeah, for this mission.
Speaker A:I was cool with the sidearm, but like not flashbang grenades.
Speaker A:I don't know why you would have this.
Speaker E:Well, if I got my gear, I'm just trying to figure out what gear I would have.
Speaker A:And you have your M4 with a few extra mags.
Speaker A:You also have your under barrel breach rounds that you can fire from your M4.
Speaker A:So you go back, you grab your M4 out of your duffel bag, or you probably bring the duffel bag along with you.
Speaker A:Meet back up with Roizen, who's standing a little bit outside of the periphery of the halo of light spilling forth from the front of the building.
Speaker A:You four are back together now.
Speaker B:So how do we want to do this, boys?
Speaker D:Let's start walking down the.
Speaker D:The side, see if we can see a fire escape or some other vantage point that we can maybe enter in a less noticeable way in a.
Speaker E:In a stealthy manner.
Speaker D:In a stealthy manner, sure.
Speaker A:Who's got the worst stealth?
Speaker A:That agent needs to go ahead and roll their stealth.
Speaker A:Go ahead.
Speaker B:All right, this is not.
Speaker B:That is a failure at a 31 out of a target.
Speaker B:14.
Speaker A:Y'all are crunching your way down the asphalt on the west side of the building, and you're doing your best to stay quiet.
Speaker A:But the sound of four people walking on this uneven ground.
Speaker A:It's covered with dirt again and rocks.
Speaker A:Is.
Speaker A:Is something that perhaps somebody listening for this exact sound would.
Speaker A:Would hear.
Speaker A:It's very possible.
Speaker E:Paris stops the team.
Speaker E:All right, guys, y'all are.
Speaker E:Oh, I need a good.
Speaker E:I need a good.
Speaker E:Like, y'all are louder.
Speaker E:Louder than a something in a bag of something.
Speaker B:Herd of elephants.
Speaker A:You're louder than something in a bag of something is actually the correct colloquialism for you.
Speaker E:That's what Paris says.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker E:Y'all are.
Speaker E:Y'all louder than a look.
Speaker E:Just stay here for a moment.
Speaker E:I'm going to have Paris go ahead and try to circumnavigate the building on his own.
Speaker A:What does the rest of the team think of that?
Speaker C:Prentiss hears how loud they're being and kind of agrees.
Speaker C:Quietly.
Speaker B:I don't think we should have any one person go off on our own, though.
Speaker D:I can join him.
Speaker D:Ryan feels like he's able to be stealthy.
Speaker E:Let's do this alien guy.
Speaker E:That's my best.
Speaker E:I can't.
Speaker E:I'm trying, Eric.
Speaker E:I'm trying to do improv comedy here.
Speaker D:It's hard.
Speaker C:You don't have to try.
Speaker C:You're doing it already.

Speaker A:Natural.
Speaker A:Okay, which one of you has the lowest stuff?
Speaker D:I have 50.

Speaker A:Okay, who has the lowest dexterity?

Speaker A:Paris, please roll for stealth.
Speaker E:There's a.
Speaker A:All right.

Speaker E:So we're gonna crunch our way on you two.
Speaker A:Begin crunching your way down on your twosome, continuing the length of this very large, oblong steel warehouse.
Speaker A:Before long, you find yourself coming up to the crates and shipping containers that have been stacked against the side of this part of the warehouse.
Speaker A:You see that they stretch up nearly two thirds the side of the building.
Speaker A:You can see this from your vantage point.
Speaker A:Someone who's got some pretty good upper body strength or some athleticism might be able to hoist themselves up, use the metal gutters and other brickwork to get themselves onto the roof.
Speaker E:Paris looks over to Ryan.
Speaker E:I think I might be able to climb up that and get on top of the roof.
Speaker D:Yeah, not a bad idea, but I'm not sure if we should leave the rest of the team not on the roof.
Speaker E:Yeah, yeah, but should we keep walking the building, see if we find anything else?
Speaker D:Nah, I mean, look, maybe do be quiet about it, but if you can get up there and then if there's any, like, skylights or events that we can get a visual inside of this, definitely take it and then, you know, report back.
Speaker D:If you get up there and there isn't anything, then maybe you come back down and we regroup with the team.
Speaker E:All right.
Speaker E:I check for my pocket flashlight.
Speaker E:Do I have.
Speaker A:Yeah, you brought your.
Speaker A:You brought your pocket flashlight and your cell phone with you.
Speaker E:I'll text you if I find a way in.
Speaker E:Barris is going to attempt to climb up.
Speaker A:Yeah, no problem.
Speaker A:Well, it shouldn't be a problem.
Speaker A:Paris is a pretty, pretty well built guy.
Speaker A:So basically you're doing a series of pull ups, maybe some difficult maneuvers up the side of the building, but it looks climbable to you from here.
Speaker A:Go ahead and roll your athletics because.
Speaker D:Of all the failures.
Speaker D:Guys, don't forget to check your skills.
Speaker E:Thank you for the reminder.
Speaker D:This can be a heavy upgrade session.
Speaker C:It seems this is every session.
Speaker B:No, I, I'm pretty sure Brazen and Fris heard the thud from the other side of the building there.
Speaker E:Come on.
Speaker D:Or he just fell.
Speaker E:I just broke a leg or something.
Speaker E:I don't see.
Speaker C:What was the roll, John?
Speaker E:It was a 100 out of.
Speaker E:Doesn't matter.
Speaker E:68.
Speaker A:I hold on a moment.
Speaker A:I've got to like, kind of think about that.
Speaker E:Isn't.
Speaker E:I feel like there's a table that covers it when it's this bad, right?
Speaker C:It's like, does he.
Speaker C:His pants?
Speaker C:Is that an option?
Speaker D:Dude, I would take that over like a broken leg.
Speaker D:I'm totally down.
Speaker A:All right, Paris, roll your.
Speaker A:Your dexterity times five.
Speaker A:So I think that's 50 for you.
Speaker E:94 out of 50.
Speaker A:You quickly, you quickly vault up the side of the first shipping container, landing on top of it with a quiet thud, and then vault up the second.
Speaker A:It's nothing for you, Ryan.
Speaker A:You watch with appreciation.
Speaker A:He seems extremely sure of himself and he's.
Speaker A:He's moving up the side of the building now.
Speaker A:Like a trained free climber, he whispers.
Speaker A:But what you see when he reaches the very top of this 40 foot warehouse, he misses a handhold.
Speaker A:Looked like he was doing just fine.
Speaker A:Grasping onto the side of some jutting out brickwork in one of the metal gutters.
Speaker A:But you see him slip.
Speaker A:And with horror, in the pit of your stomach, you watch him fall backwards, his hands flailing in the night air.
Speaker A:It's slow motion for you.
Speaker A:It might be for Paris as well.
Speaker A:But you see as his body first strikes the highest shipping container with a sickening crunch, he continues to fall down, his head slamming against the second one.
Speaker A:And then he spins, hits the brick wall of the warehouse and falls behind one of the containers, out of sight.
Speaker A:Roll a new character.
Speaker A:Moist.
Speaker A:Moist.
Speaker A:Thud sound is all you hear.
Speaker A:I need to roll some dimage here.
Speaker B:Paraplegic loss of characters continues.
Speaker D:I mean, yeah, can he just.
Speaker C:His pants.
Speaker A:Don't roll one hundreds is my best advice.
Speaker E:I'm only rolling 90s.
Speaker B:It's not our fault.
Speaker B:It's the dice.
Speaker A:All right, we're gonna.
Speaker A:We're using the rules of the game here.
Speaker A:So just a moment.
Speaker D:How dare you.
Speaker A:Oh, that is.
Speaker C:I think we're going to rename this one operation Whoopsie Daisy.
Speaker A:When a fall like this is particularly uncontrolled, we're dealing.
Speaker A:We're looking at a 2D6 damage for the height that you fell.
Speaker A:You're basically out of it for now.
Speaker A:So, Ryan, it's as I described to you.
Speaker A:You don't hear him yell, you don't hear him make a sound.
Speaker A:All you hear is his body sink behind the shipping container.
Speaker A:So this gap between the wall of the warehouse and this stacked piece of.
Speaker D:Cargo, am I able to get to him at all?
Speaker A:You rush over as best as you can, turning on your cell phone light, you peer through and you see him in a very, very difficult position.
Speaker A:His arm twisted backwards, his leg looks like is bending in the wrong direction.
Speaker A:He looks like a contortionist who has forced himself in this small space.
Speaker C:Burn it.
Speaker D:Ryan's gonna whisper, shout, Paris, Paris, Paris.
Speaker A:Please roll your constitution.
Speaker D:I can't physically get to him is what I heard you say.
Speaker D:Right?
Speaker A:You can kind of shimmy back there and try your best to extract him.
Speaker E:I got a 53 out of 75.
Speaker E:I succeeded.
Speaker A:Finally, you open your eyes.
Speaker A:Your body is a symphony of pain.
Speaker A:Your leg is white hot.
Speaker A:Something's wrong with your right arm.
Speaker A:And you can feel yourself pinned between two immovable objects.
Speaker A:As you come to, you realize one of them is the Warehouse itself.
Speaker A:You look up, your eyes completely blinded by a flashlight that's being shined in your face, and you hear Ryan hiss at you.
Speaker D:Paris.
Speaker D:Ryan's gonna try.
Speaker D:As he sees him awaken, I guess, or twitch slightly, whatever, move towards him to be able to drag him out.
Speaker A:With some difficulty, Paris lifts part of his body up.
Speaker A:He slips back down.
Speaker A:He's in a horrible looking, awkward position.
Speaker A:His limbs are not going in the right directions.
Speaker A:You're not sure which one to touch, but you do your best to grab part of his shoulder and the arm that looks like it's in the right direction or at least hasn't popped out of its socket like the other.
Speaker A:And with some great effort, you extract him from this small gap and kind of lay him out where he's seated against the side of the warehouse.
Speaker D:So looking at him, Ryan sees that one arm's fucked up.
Speaker D:Does he see a broken leg, like, visually obvious?
Speaker A:Yeah, so it looks like his shiny.
Speaker A:We're talking a major fracture here where you can see bone when you lift up his pant leg that has come through the skin, he's bleeding quite profusely.
Speaker C:Can we see his phone light from where we are?
Speaker A:Yes, you can see there their lights kind of banding around.
Speaker C:We'll make our way over.
Speaker A:You did hear some thuds as well.
Speaker D:Okay, Ryan's going to.

Speaker A:You go ahead and put your ear up to it.
Speaker A:You can hear the rattle of air movement in the other room.
Speaker A:And you start back because you hear somebody sniff and kind of clear their throat directly on the other side of.
Speaker D:The door, as quiet as I can move back towards Prentiss and Roizen and say, definitely people inside there's someone right on the other side of that door.
Speaker D:I'm tempted to.

Speaker A:You do see a pallet jack and some pallets on the pier itself.
Speaker A:Looks like quite a few bits of equipment unmanaged, untouched for a while.
Speaker A:Lots of boxes are stacked up along the pier itself as you walk in front under the halo of light until you make your way to the eastern side of the warehouse.
Speaker A:Making your way back around walking the perimeter.
Speaker A:Royson was prescient because you do see that this warehouse is up to code.
Speaker A:There's a fire escape on this side.
Speaker A:The ladder itself is in a cage.
Speaker A:Looks like it has a padlock and it is retracted.
Speaker A:It's about 12ft above the asphalt where you stand as you stare up at it.
Speaker A:But it looks like the fire escape leads to some sort of second story metal door that is in the side of the building.

Speaker A:You begin making your way down south, exploring the side of the building that you didn't have a chance to before, hoping you'll find them or at least some point of ingress that they've discovered.

Speaker A:You three are now standing in front of this collection of shipping containers and crates stacked haphazardly on the side of the building.
Speaker D:Ryan's going to try to climb them.

Speaker D:And for the listeners, the little tens dice was rolling around that 80 on my screen for a nervous amount of time before I flipped over to the 50 side, and I was like, fuck this.

Speaker A:Taking strongly an internal lesson from Paris's failure, you carefully, very carefully make your way up the shipping containers and avoiding the fatal handholds that caused his fall, you stick to what looks like a much safer route, at least from your estimation, kind of huffing and puffing.
Speaker A:Before long, you find yourself on top of the roof unscathed.
Speaker A:You look down, you can see the dim lights of your fellow agents, cell phones illuminating the asphalt ground 40ft down.
Speaker A:It's higher than it looks from below.
Speaker A:Up here on the roof, you can see there's a thin strip of windows that lines the grated corrugated material that you're standing on and set back from the edge of the roof itself so that you could perhaps Peer through them into the warehouse floor below.
Speaker D:Ryan peers through them.
Speaker E:Awesome.
Speaker A:You look through these windows, and you can can see that there's about a dozen people in the center of the warehouse in flickering candlelight.
Speaker A:Activity is certainly occurring there in that open area in the middle of the warehouse.
Speaker A:But multiple stacked crates block your direct line of sight.
Speaker A:You see them kind of swaying, moving in between these enormous obstructions.
Speaker A:The dim light doesn't help at all.
Speaker A:It's really hard to tell what's going on down there from your current vantage point.
Speaker D:Is Ryan able to get a vantage point that chose him?
Speaker D:The front side, you know where he heard the person.
Speaker D:Just on the other side.
Speaker D:Is he able to see along that wall at all?
Speaker A:You make your way as quickly as you can to the northern side of the warehouse, and you look through one of the windows, and you see in very dim light, a shadowy figure smoking a cigarette against a roll top.
Speaker A:The only reason you can see the roll top from this vantage point is because looks like there's flickering candlelight reflecting off of it.
Speaker D:Ryan's going to text the whole team, and so Paris knows, even me, thinking that he's still in the car on the roof.
Speaker D:Looks to be about a dozen guys inside.
Speaker D:Was I able to make out who?
Speaker D:Which was David.
Speaker D:Like, was I able to see him?
Speaker A:No, no, no.
Speaker A:Unfortunately, they've arranged or at least they.
Speaker A:They have some sort of arrangement there that really blocks direct line of sight into understanding what's happening down there.
Speaker A:Now, one thing that you did see was that there are some catwalks down below from these windows that are above the floor of the warehouse.
Speaker A:If you were to maneuver your way through some of these windows on the roof, you might be able to lower yourself down onto the catwalks, creep along so that you get a better vantage point and understand what might be happening.
Speaker A:What activity is occurring in the center of the warehouse floor.
Speaker D:Okay, so Ryan's going to text the team on the roof.
Speaker D:Seems to be a dozen or so people inside.

Speaker A:And you both kind of look in that direction.
Speaker C:Prentiss raises his gun at the oncoming and direction that the sound is coming from.

Speaker A:Crane is right in front of you and the control system itself.
Speaker A:But what really captures your focus as you look down and across the warehouse floor is what's happening now.
Speaker A:In the middle of the warehouse, you see that there is a woman in a dirty, tattered FBI windbreaker.
Speaker A:She's sitting upright on what looks to be a crate made dais.
Speaker A:Containers are arranged in a semicircle around it, enclosing it seemingly purposefully.
Speaker A:She looks to you drugged, or at least, Ryan.
Speaker A:You begin to hope this is the case as you recognize that this is Special Agent Rachel Glenn.
Speaker A:The top of her skull has been sheared off cleanly.
Speaker A:In the flickering light of the candles.
Speaker A:This reveals a red, pulpy mess.
Speaker A:Blood is caked in her long black hair, which before was kept up nice and neat in a bun, now lies along her shoulders.
Speaker A:Blood is splattered on her clothing and on the ground below, there seems to be much less blood than you might expect.

Speaker A:There are additional Asian featured men in casual clothing that stand in front of this dais.
Speaker A:And they are answering the chance in turn with their own unique but to you equally unintelligible responses.
